The Light Cavalry Vehicles (LCVs) and Light Mechanized Infantry Vehicles (LMIVs) are produced by the Advanced Cavalry Labs Corporation located in Sherman, Texas.

Training areas and proving grounds are maintained for the State of Texas by the ACLC at Camp Swift near Austin, Texas, Camp Murphy, near San Angelo, Texas and Camp Maxey, near Paris, Texas. Logistics are coordinated through Camp Mabry with Ammo stocks and munitions stored and staged from Fort Hood, in Central Texas. Development of a unique and easily maintained fighting vehicle for the Light Cavalry Regiments was decided over purchasing of existing systems. The key factor in this decision was the creation of jobs in Texas and positive control over the manufacturing and development process. Worldwide interest in the LCAV system, which includes the integration of micro-drones and the Fusion Center Command and Staff System, was highlighted by the ordering of sixteen regimental sets by the Israeli Defense Forces and the creation of sixteen IDF Light Cavalry Light Cavalry Regiments.
